Guys, last week we did it.
We awarded 8 students scholarships ranging from $500-$2,500.
If you contributed to the money we raised in any way, shape, or form...
I hope you soak in these pictures.
We literally changed these sweet kids lives.
Every student kept thanking me, and told me to make sure I told everyone else involved
how much it means to them that we thought about them.
They kept telling me about how this is going to change their life,
but little do they know that actually, they've changed mine.
Here's how it worked.
We delivered the scholarships after school, Publisher's Clearing House Style!
They had no idea that we were coming, only their teachers in their
after school activities knew, so things were set up perfectly...
The first group of kids had all my emotion let out on them.
I cried my way through presenting their award... this was when I was telling them how
proud I am of everything they've accomplished... They all cried too...

Abel, on the far left, moved here from Africa in the 8th grade.
He taught himself English, and is going to ASU next year to become a aero scientist thingie
(I honestly don't even know what it's called it's so intense. haha)

Luis (above) was first runner up, and was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
His goal is to become a broadcaster on ESPN.
I have no doubt that he will.
Randall (above) was the SHINE Student Of The Year, grand prize winner...
Receiving $2,500.
This kid is going places. And he wanted to motivate his peers to do the same.
Vanessa has extremely good grades, and has worked her whole life to become the
only person in her family to go to college.
She sells cheesecake to help pay her family's bills.
I have literally never seen anyone so grateful for anything in my entire life
like Vanessa was when we told her that we were giving her $1,000
to help pay for tuition next year.
She'll start at a community college, so that money will go a long way.
We did this. I hope you feel so, so good right now.
And the coolest part is, this will continue as long as TSP is in existence...so, forever ;)
Spread this to your friends,
and let's continue to raise money for these kids who have so much to give.
They were so touched that a group of people thought about them.
A video compilation will be coming soon.

How wonderful for them AND you. We adopted our five nieces and nephews who came from a neglected and poor background so I know how much this means to those kids.....they wouldn't have it otherwise....good work.
