If you havent read about our new project Pass It Forward yet, click HERE.
For now on, every Friday we're going to have a Pass it Forward link-up...
Where you can link up a post about what you did with your card and inspire us with new ideas,
your motivating stories, etc. I'm so excited to see what everyone does, and to hear who you have affected.
Since Pass it Forward launched last Friday, we have given out over 2,000 cards,
and had to order more... wow. We're spreading some shine...that's for sure.
Yesterday I bought cheesecakes from one of my students who bakes and sells them
to help out with her family's income...she is so precious.
We then went and did the pass it forward card together....
Placing a note of encouragement on a strangers windshield, with the pass it forward card attached.
I'm excited to see what they do with it!
I asked Nichelle, from Vintage Wanna Bee what her card number was so that I could see
what she did... this is awesome...
Some friends and I went to "Free Pancake Day" at IHOP. We live in a college town, so naturally, free pancakes are a big deal. Eventually, we were seated and greeted by one of the best waitresses. She was so kind and happy, even though it was crazy, busy and I'm sure she had been there all day long. We got our pancakes, and went to leave her a tip. We are all a little frustrated that we didn't have more cash to give her, we all felt she deserved a huge tip. I remembered I had my "Pass It Forward/Shine Project Card" and wanted to think of a cool way to give it to her. I wanted to give it to someone who really deserved it, and who I hoped would continue serving others and she seemed like the perfect candidate. I remembered that I had a birthday present in my bag for my friend. I had made her some headbands, but I hadn't written her name on the package yet. This was perfect, because the waitress had even complimented me on the headband I was wearing! We left her a cute note and the headbands. (We also gave her the biggest tip that we could, even though we forgot to bring more cash.) She was such a nice girl, and brightened our day! We hope it brightened her's to get a note of compliments and encouragement and a little present!
A lot of you have ordered cards, but dont have them yet.
In the comments below, tell us what you plan on doing, or any creative ideas you might have!

So excited about this! Where can I order a card? I am definitely wanting to do this! So great of you Ashley!
I found it nevermind! Just ordered and can't wait! I must have missed it the first time I read it!
I work in a school as a school counselor and I am going to use the cards with my service learning group kiddos (5th and 6th grade). I am so excited to leave the Pass it forward task up to them and see what they come up with and how they serve others with their acts of kindness! oh yeah, I'm excited to do it for myself too :) Maybe I'll buy someone flowers....or make a blessing bag for a homeless person...bag someone's groceries...or babysit for free. The possibilities are endless! :)
Oh man I am so excited for this! I cannot even wait. I am going to order my cards soon! I have already read 3 pay it forward stories already and cannot wait to read more!
