How To: Fishtail Pull-Back

I'm a firm believer that if you want to save the world, or even just your kid from sticking that cheerio up their nose, that you need to feel good about yourself. I share different hair tutorials on my blog so you can feel pretty and worry about the other important things. Today I'm going to show you how to do the Fishtail Pull-back
(Ya, I make up my own names. I'm not fancy enough to know the real lingo)

Step 1: Part your hair either down the middle or on the side you normally part on, and fishtail braid a front small section of your hair. I have a step-by-step tutorial on how to fishtail here if you don't know how. It's really really easy so don't get scared away!

2. Braid to the end of your section of hair, and wrap it around your head to place a bobby pin in the back. Do the same thing now to the opposite side of your hair, and have the two braids meet in the back.

3.If you have long hair, it will look a little messy where the braids meet because you'll have extra hair that was too long. Tuck those strands underneath the braid so that you can't see them anymore.

4. Put a bow over where the braids meet in the middle and you're all finished!
This takes me about 10 minutes max.

Shine on.

Awesome! I actually like those messy ends and will absolutely give this a try since 10 minutes is usually all the time I have to get myself together these days (if that!). Do you think this will work on wavy hair though? I've always had some natural bend going on but ever since having my daughter it's a full blown wave and I'm still getting used to dealing with it.

Thanks Ashley!

I love this! I'm not usually so great at doing my own hair in fancy styles, but I'm definitely going to have to try it!
