Making Little Things Great.

The other day I was talking to my mom, who is full of all wisdom, and said something to the effect of, "I just can't wait for this to really take off. I'm so excited for that moment when it just catches it's big break."

We were talking about Threads, and the non-profit, and where I want it to be. As soon as I said it, I realized something that has taken me a long time to figure out. Before I could even retract what I said, my mom pointed it out. She said, "What are you talking about? You've been catching your "breaks" for the past year."

Reaching what or who we want to become doesn't just magically happen one day. I've realized that it's a process. A process of having the little things that are important enter your life day after day, and you taking them to make something greater than you had the day before. Everyday as we combat the craziness and conquer our own battles, we change. We grow, and our businesses or our goals or our desires grow with us. Achieving life's important landmarks takes time. Sometimes I forget that, until I look at where I was 1 year ago, or 3 years ago, or 7 years ago. And then I realize, wow, I have come a long, long way. There was no sonic boom to tell the world of these amazing changes I've experienced, but the evidence is there.

Becoming who you want to be, and ending up where you want to stand is a process that is happening to you every day. Right now you have the choice to get closer to that goal, or pull yourself farther away. I'm learning to be grateful for what I have, when I have it. All the little things happening to you right now are snow balling to build the great things to come. Be patient. Let it happen to you.
