Party Bags- c/o Pretty Pickles
I seriously love Valentine's Day. I loved it even when I didn't have a boyfriend, or husband... because it's just one big fat day of love! Yesterday I put together 20 bags of Valentines, and gave them to random people. It was the funnest, and everyone was so happy. Here's how it went down:
Bag 1- I had forgotten to leave one in the mail box for our mail man, so I was extremely excited when I had a package so he had to ring my door bell. He's the cutest old man, and got the biggest smile on his face when I gave it to him.
Bag 2- Ashley and I (my employee) had to run to Ace hardware because we're making a new bracelet display for the office. We decided we'd give a Valentine to whoever helped us the most there. We did, and he was ecstatic.
Bag 3- Our post office worker who sent out the Threads orders yesterday.
Bag 4- We gave a Valentine to the old man who lives across the street from me. He was walking his dog, and his eyes got big, "I haven't had a Valentine from anyone in years... I mean YEARS." He lives alone and never sees his kids. It was my favorite Valentine to give the whole day.
Bag 5- I made a WHOLE bunch of Valentines for an inner city high school tennis team that practices at the park across the street from my house. I had been so excited to go take them their goodies all day. When I got there, the courts were completely empty. Hahahaa, of course that would happen. However, at the equipment rental office there was one girl working, so I gave her one. She was SOOO happy. So the park trip wasn't a waste after all.
Bag 6-10- I went to go see Safe Haven at the movies with my good friend Kelly because Mike had to work late. I gave a bag to each person that helped me at the movie theatre... The cashier, the ticket taker, a guy who was cleaning up popcorn from the floors. They were so happy.
Bag 11- I finally met up with Mike later in the night, and gave a Valentine to the valet guy at the restaurant we went to. The valet was closed by then because it was so late, and it must have stunk to have to still be there.
Bag 12-14- We left bags on our table when we left for our servers at the restaurant (for some reason we had a few?)
Bag 15- Of course we had to get treats after dinner, so we gave a bag to the girl who rang us up for our milkshakes. She was really, really happy.
Bag 16-There was a girl in the desert place sitting all by herself, so we gave her a Valentine too.
Bag 17-20- Right next to the desert place is a connecting restaurant. There were 4 workers left working, so we gave the remainder to them.
I loved doing this so much, that I'm going to start carrying random Thank You treats with me to the people who I come in contact with through out the day that help me, or look like they could use some love.
What did you do yesterday?
Have a great weekend, and shine on.

This was an incredible idea! My favorite one was when you gave it to the elderly man across the street. Even reading from afar it touched my heart!
